Sponsored by the Robert Earll McConnell Foundation, the Blair Endowment, and the University of Colorado Alumni Associations, this award honors a member of the faculty whose life and work promote a Jeffersonian commitment to broad intellectual pursuits and the strong advancement of democratic principles.

Presented to
ROBERT E. SIEVERS

for his profound commitment to the welfare and rights of individuals, and for his enrichment of the University of Colorado through his distinguished teaching and outstanding and seminal research in atmospheric chemistry, through his tireless service as Director of the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences, as Dean of the Graduate School, and as a University Regent, through his membership on numerous executive and advisory boards in the arts, in the sciences, and in government, through his accomplished sculpting of works of public art, and through his continuing and substantial support of less advantaged members of the university community.
